About
FOXHOLE
The Foxhole started with a simple goal: to build a tight-knit group of Godly men who support and uplift each other. We began as a Bible study, but right from the start, we knew we wanted to be something different. Traditional Bible studies have their place, but we found that men don’t really connect on a deep level by just sitting in a circle in a Sunday school room talking about the week's readings. We discovered that adding a service element, getting men to work together and sweat together, changes everything.
We quickly realized that to grow this group into something more, we needed men who weren’t afraid to commit. Men who would surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and follow His lead. We needed men who would hold each other accountable and push for continual spiritual development and personal growth. For the Foxhole to thrive, we needed men who were all in.
For us, this meant more than just occasional service projects; we needed the opportunity to serve weekly. This level of involvement became a cornerstone of our identity, fueling our spiritual, mental, and physical growth.
Well... that escalated quickly. Now, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to finding opportunities to serve wherever we’re needed and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone we meet along the way.
But why? Why would we spend all of our free time serving others? Why would we leave our own families to help yours?
In John chapter 14, Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” This isn’t an ultimatum. We are saved by grace through faith—no works can save us. Jesus wasn’t saying, "If you love me, do this thing for me or I’m leaving.” It’s simply a statement of fact: If you really love Jesus, if you truly believe He died on the cross for you and rose again, if you acknowledge that He paid a debt you couldn’t pay, then you will love Him. And if you do, it will show in how you live your life.
Jesus’ commandments were to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love your neighbor as yourself. We love Jesus because we accept that He gave His life for ours. That sacrifice is why we serve.
